When your engine is in such condition that a partial or complete overhaul is due, a DEUTZ Xchange factory-repaired replacement engine is a sensible option.

Especially compared to a total overhaul, a factory-repaired replacement engine is without exception also the most affordable option. The Xchange replacement engines have the same factory warranty as new engines!

All engine types currently manufactured by DEUTZ are available as replacement engines. Replacement engines are also available from many outgoing engines, although in the case of the rarest models, the replacement engine factory may need to rebuild the replacement engine from the customer’s own outgoing engine.

EU emissions regulations affect engines of level 1 and lower emission categories delivered within Europe. EU level 1 engines must be delivered with the nameplate to the factory for repair and more information about it can be found here.

As a rule, replacement engines do not come with electrical equipment, flywheels, flywheel housings, engine mounts, compressors, hydraulic coolers, air filters and other external parts as these can usually be used from the original engine.

Of course, all the above mentioned parts should be ordered together with the replacement engine, if there is even the slightest doubt about the usefulness of the old parts, because the parts included in the engine order are usually cheaper than as a spare part.

In order to keep the price of the replacement engine at a reasonable level, we require that we receive a repairable return engine within one month of the replacement engine being delivered. In EU level 1 engines and older, the return of the replacement engine with nameplate takes place before the repaired engine is delivered. Repairability in this context means that the cylinder group must not have cracks and the crankshaft must not be broken. If the conditions for renovation are not met, we cannot refund the entire deposit value. If the damages are known in advance, their price-increasing effects are much smaller.

Engines from EU Stage 2 and higher emission levels can be sold without deposit returns by separate agreement, if for example you definitely want a similar power source in your stock to provide additional security for the continuity of your business.
